Hi, I am Paola an historical seamstress, pattern maker,

antique garments collector, corset maker and reenactor.

I am in love with mid Victorian and Belle Epoque Fashions and I have been studying those two and antique garments for years.

I have made many costumes for myself and for customers

based on the last centuries.

I expecially love to study antique garments from museums or fashion plates and remake them, sometimes in my own style, using antique sewing techniques whenever it is possible.

It is fascinating how those garments were constructed!

Here you can buy my sewing Patterns and Costumes.

Here in my website you will be able to Buy different kind of sewing Patterns with their Tutorials:

- Patterns from Antique Clothes or from Antique Corsets of my personal collection.
Those Patterns are taken and digitized by me from my antique pieces. They have a Fixed Size, aka their measurements and shapes are as most as possible the ones of my antique garments.

- Historical Style Patterns in Standard Multi Sizes or Fixed Size (measurements are explained in each listing's chart).  Those Patterns are usually based on studies I either make from antique pieces of my collection, photos and videos of pieces from public museums or from other collectors pieces (in those cases the tutorial includes links and infos of the original provenance, with either open source datas, or approval from the source collector).
Or they may be slightly inspired by museums antiques or by my antique pieces, with my own Brand touch and redesign. That means that there are included some personalizations, specific interpretations or additional features to those patterns. For example, as I love to draw designs, you can find included vectors or drawings fully created by me (copyright Paola Manarolla Butterfly Garments) of:
- soutaches
- embroidery designs
- appliques
- sangallo designs
- specific original shapes of collars, skirts, or cuffs
- and so on.

- Modern, Historical Fantasy, or Fantasy Patterns in Standard Multi Sizes.  (same as above).

For each Pattern you will find its tutorial included. Most Patterns are in ENGLISH, but you may find some also in my own language , ITALIAN.

Each file is downloadable after purchase in PDF format, the listing includes photos of the garment made from the pattern and the chart of sizes with their measurements.

Each file is printable at  home in A4 Format, US Letter and (Coming Soon) A0 Format.

The tutorials usually include: the list of needed materials, fabric placement, Printing Layout; detailed step by step Photo instructions, or Drawing instructions, photos of the finished garment, sewing tips and tricks, photo references from museums and further curiosities if needed.
